Coastal Cluster Swimming 2019
Thank you all for the morning and the excellence competition. Parental support was the best we have seen for a long time. Whilst not everyone was there we did have three schools with 30 swimmers per school and everyone entered a relay team which was fantastic especially at year 6.

Year 6 relay 4 boys 4 girls
                             1st Eskdale              2nd  Port Ahuriri      3rd  Haumoana

It was great to see boys swimming with the right swimming gear suitable for racing and not the ‘beach shorts’. We do have a good overall standard of swimming in our cluster but the numbers (depth) are falling off. Hang onto your school swimming pool and programme.

May need to look at the ‘rule’ / ‘agreement’ regarding Champs and only one swimmer representing the school for all events or several swimmers.?

There is no issue with having year 4 swimmers if you have talent and need the swimmers

Look forward to seeing you all in 2020
cheers from the Clive Team
